There are no special scholarships for International Students at UWF.

Some departments offer awards to students from Latin American and Caribbean countries. The awards allow students who meet the requirements to pay tuition at the in-state rate. Please see the requirements for important information and deadlines.

Individual departments may offer awards based on talent or high academic achievement. For more information, check with individual departments.

LAC Scholarships from ODIEP

Renewal of Award from ODIEP

• Students who have applied to or been admitted to UWF who are from a Latin American or Caribbean country may apply to be considered for LAC Scholarship from the ODIEP. If a student is awarded an LAC scholarship from the ODIEP, the student will continue to receive the LAC scholarship for fall and spring semesters for the duration of their degree study, i.e., until he/she completes the degree program for which they have received an LAC scholarship. The LAC award will automatically be posted to the student's financial aid account in fall and spring semesters as long as the student maintains LAC eligibility by being enrolled full-time and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Summer LAC from ODIEP

• Summer LAC Scholarships are not renewable. Students receiving an LAC scholarship from the ODIEP in the Spring semester must submit an application to be considered for Summer LAC award. Summer LAC is processed separately from the LAC awards for Fall and Spring semesters. Students applying for Summer LAC must meet the eligibility requirements for the award: being enrolled full-time and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Note: Students who receive LAC scholarship for spring semester from a department other then the ODIEP are not eligible for summer LAC awards from the ODIEP.
