
The Associate Vice President for the Office of Diversity and International Education and Programs (ODIEP) reports to the President and Provost. The ODIEP is operated under the auspices of the Division of Academic Affairs.
The Associate Vice President is responsible for providing leadership for all diversity and international education and program initiatives on the University of West Florida campuses.
Specifically, the position provides strategic direction for all related centers and programs (e.g. Florida-Japan Linkage Institute, Florida-China Linkage Institute, Intensive English Program, Diversity Programs, Pace Symposium Committee, President’s Leadership Award in Diversity) and promotes their roles in enhancing the teaching, learning and research mission of the University, and represents diversity and international programs and outreach in state, national, and international forums.
Related to these responsibilities the Associate Vice President collaborates with other units and/or offices in an effort to strengthen service delivery to minority and international undergraduate, graduate, and professional program students.
In addition, the position engages in collaborative initiatives designed to enhance the university’s relationships with the minority community in Pensacola and nearby counties including the Emerald Coast campus and throughout the state.
