System and Download Requirements Details

In order to participate in the online courses, your computer will need to have the following system requirements including download requirements. This will ensure that programs used through the online courses will work properly.

In order to hear and speak to your instructor, a noise-cancelling headphone with microphone will be needed. This may be purchased from any company that sells technology equipment (i.e. BestBuy, Walmart).

- Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (certified for 32-bit editions)

- 1 GB of RAM (2 GB recommended, particularly if running Office 2007)

- 64MB of video RAM

- 1GB of available hard-disk space (additional free space required during installation)

- 1,024x768 monitor resolution with 16-bit video card

- DVD-ROM drive

-Mac OS X10.2.8, 10.3.8, and 10.4

-G3, G4, G5 or Intel processor

-512 MB RAM (1 GB recommended)

-20 MB free disk space

-28.8 kbps Internet connection dial up will work, but the system will run extremely slow; a DSL or broadband connection is preferred

 

Download Requirements

Elluminate Live is used for the virtual classroom. This is provided free and will automatically install as part of the iExplore Online Programs. In order for Elluminate Live to function, you will need to install QuickTime and Java Web Start.
