Jenni Brian,University of West Florida

Jenni Brian has been working for UWF since she was an undergraduate student in the Information Technology program back in 2004. She began working for Recreation in 2006, and has completed her Master’s degree in Instructional Technology. She is currently a doctoral student specializing in Performance Technology, and has taught Educational Technologies to preservice teachers at Pensacola Junior College. Jenni has developed or assisted in the development of the web presence for the Division of Student Affairs at UWF. Additionally, Jenni has led several technology courses for teens through Explore Summer Programs.
Dr. Dave Dawson, Engineering and Computer Technology,, University of West Florida
iExplore Online Program: Design This
Dr. Dave Dawson holds a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Education in Instructional Technology from the University of West Florida. Dr. Dawson serves as the Chief Technologist for the College of Professional Studies at UWF. He plans, develops and implements the technology strategy for the College. Dr. Dawson develops working methods for integrating advanced web technologies into collaborative instructional design for online development. Jessie Brown, Computer Science, University of West Florida
iExplore Online Program: Game Programming with Flash
Jessie started her working with the Game Programming kid-courses in 2006. She has worked on the Math Matters Game development grant with Dr. Prayaga, UWF and ECSS. In addition she is currently working on the development of a game designed to target high school girls and economic education as well as database development and design for the CEDB Mercury study at UWF. Jessie has a B.S. in Information Engineering with a Minor in Computer Science from the University of West Florida. She stays active as the President of the Association for Information Technology, UWF chapter. She is currently working on her Masters in Software Engineering as well as another Masters in Database Administration. When she is not at work she enjoys playing in the Society for Creative Anachronisms, gaming with her teenage boys and designing in Second Life.
Dr. Lakshmi Prayaga, Computer Science and Engineering/Computer Technology, University of West Florida
iExplore Online Program: Game Programming
Dr. Lakshmi Prayaga holds an M.S in Software Engineering, (University of West Florida), and an Ed.D, Instructional Technology (University of West Florida). She is a joint faculty member in the Computer Science Department and Engineering and Computer Technology at the UWF. Her research interests include serious games in education, use of technology in education, and Web tools and technologies. She has conducted several Explore Summer Programsduring the past three years which were very successful and had repeat students! She is a recipient of state and federal grants to develop serious games for K-12. She has co authored two books and several refereed journal articles and conference publications.
