These guidelines, along with our presentation at the 1998 conference, are designed to help authors of papers that have been accepted for the proceedings to prepare the papers for Internet publications. Our aim is to provide a simple set of guidelines that will help to standardize the paper submissions and make publication convenient for both the authors and the home page managers.
This set of guidelines is just that: a set of guidelines. There are numerous extensive sources of HTML reference material. Some of them are referenced later in these guidelines. Our attempt is to provide a minimal set of instructions to help authors prepare their papers for publication on the IEMS Internet Homepage.
Internet publication requires the use of the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), a programming language that consists of instructions to web browsers such as Netscape Navagator (c), Internet Explorer (c), and others on how to display document material on an Internet page.
