The 2009 Southern Regional Honors Council Conference was held in St. Petersburg, FL, March 26-28, and its theme was Global Solutions Through Honors.

At this conference, Christine Thomas was also elected as a Student Representative to serve on the executive board of the 2010 Southern Regional Honors Council Conference!
The 2008 theme was Metamorphosis: Honors as an Agent of Change. UWF brought several students to the conference to present:
Bryant Chase, a Senior Psychology major, gave a presentation on his coordination of an Honors section of UWF's First Year Experience course.
Sebastian Meyer, a Senior Political Science major, presented on the movement of right-wing political parties in France.
Lindsey Russ, a Junior English major, read a paper she wrote on the work of James Joyce.
Monika Scott and Christine Thomas presented on the ways in which Dr. Lanier's Great Books course reflects the values of the UWF Honors Program: Arete, Techne, and Sophia.
Kim Stetser attended SRHC as a student representative on the Conference's executive board.
