2010 FCHC Conference Information

"The FCHC conferences continue to provide venues for those involved in Honors to come together and to share scholarship, ideas, and friendship."

FCHC 2011 will be held in Jacksonville, FL February 18-20.

The 2011 conference theme is Honors around the World. As members of the honors community, we all have within us the capacity and the desire to achieve great things. Throughout our conference program, we hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to share your great dreams and courageous actions – whether by presenting at the conference, networking with fellow honors members from across the state, or taking new ideas back to your home campuses.    

The 2009 Florida Collegiate Honors Council Conference was held February 20-22 in Lake Mary, FL. The theme of last year's conference was The Art of Honors: Innovation and Excellence.

The 2008 Florida Collegiate Honors Council Conference was held in Tampa, FL, February 22-24. The 2008 theme was Discover the Treasures of Honors. Three students attended this conference:

• Ashley Armbruster, a Sophomore Psychology major, gave a presentation on the Honors Psychology course taught by Dr. Jane Halonen.
• Lindsey Russ, a Junior English major, presented on how to make the transition from an Honors Program at a community college to one at a four-year university.
• Christine Thomas, a Junior Interdisciplinary Humanities major, gave a presentation on the many various activities that Honors Council members are involved with across campus.
