COURSES
The Master of Arts program in historic preservation requires a total of 36 credit hours of coursework – 12 credit-hours in history, 9 credit hours in archaeology, 9 credit hours
in art history, and 6 credit hours of either an internship or thesis.
Students must take 6 credit hours of core requirements for each of the three disciplines, plus 6 credit hours for an internship or thesis:

Students will choose their elective courses based on their particular area of interest, but electives will also be determined by a variety of other factors, such as the availability and frequency of the course, the need of a prerequisite course or permission of the instructor, or permission to take a graduate course outside the three disciplines.
