Getting Started in Argus
, the university web portal, contains UWF online services, university announcements, and other university information. Log into Argus at http://argus.uwf.edu. Understanding the layout of Argus will allow you to quickly find what you need. Review the information below and take time to familiarize yourself with Argus.
The Directory tab contains UWF services, departments, organizations, and people.
The My Office tab contains those online services that are specific to your role as an employee. The information you see will differ depending on whether you are faculty or staff. This tab also contains the "Training Reservation Desk" channel where you can sign up for upcoming training sessions.
The IT Help tab contains a number of different resources for obtaining IT help. These include self-help, hot topics, and a complete list of who to contact if you have a problem.
The My Info tab contains information specific to you, including your pay stub and time sheet or leave report. Faculty will also find their eLearning courses on this tab.
The ClassMate tab contains information about your courses including class rosters, final exam date/time, and student GroupMail. Also, ClassMate is the place to post your online syllabus, set technology codes, and request a technology-enhanced classroom.
- The information you currently see in Argus is only a subset of what is available. There may come a time when you need to add another channel (information box) to Argus. A list of Argus channels is available from the "Channel Guide" link in the upper right corner of Argus. The ITS KnowledgeBase contains instructions for adding a channel.
