When you receive an invitation to an event, Google gives you multiple ways to respond Yes - Maybe - No. They all work.
When do I receive calendar reminders for all day events?
Reminders for events that last the entire day are sent at approximately 4:50 PM the day before the event.
How do I schedule a meeting with everyone in a department?
To invite all department members to an event, you can't just invite the department name (it won't work right). You must invite each person separately - fortunately we came up with an easy way to do this.
Google Calendar invitations do not allow for attachments other than Google Docs. How can I share other files with event attendees?
You can send the attachments in an email message, or save the attachments to a shared departmental ArgoNet drive that all of your event attendees can access.
How does UWF's "Add to My Calendar" work?
Students, faculty, and staff can easily add courses and other university events to their personal calendar from UWF web applications. These applications include Class Schedule, ClassMate, and Reservation Desk. Simply click the calendar icon button beside the activity you wish to add. How do I share my calendar with everyone in a department?
To share your calendar with all department members, you should share the calendar with listing for the department name. If you see multiple listings for your department name, be sure to select the one that includes the word "(Department)." For example, "Information Technology Services (ITS) (Department)."
How do I reserve a room/location or resource for an event?
When you create the event, go to Edit Event Details. Depending on the version you are using, you will click either Add rooms or Check guest and resource availability.
When I try to schedule a room, I see a red X. Why?
The red X indicates that either the room is busy at that time, or you do not have permission to schedule that room.
When I reserve a room/location I get the message "You don't have permission to reserve this resource."
You receive this message if you only have "free/busy" privileges on the location/resource calendar. Even though you receive this message, you can still proceed and reserve the location/resource.
How do I add a room or resource calendar to the list of "Other Calendars" that appears next to my Google Calendar?
