UWF TO HOST RECEPTION FOR CONSTRUCTION DONORS
PENSACOLA - University of West Florida President John Cavanaugh will host a donor reception March 15 at 5:30 p.m. at The Fish House, located at 600 S. Barracks St., for individuals and companies that supported the UWF Engineering Technology Construction program through gifts totaling $237,000. The gifts, which will be eligible for a 100 percent match through the Alec P. Courtelis State of Florida Matching Gift program for facilities, will allow existing space in Building 70 to be renovated, creating a state-of-the-art lab and classroom.
"We are so grateful for the support that the community has provided our program," said Glenda Mayo, faculty member, UWF Construction program. "It will make a significant difference in not only the facilities, but also the overall student pride in the program."
