The GeoData Center maintains a state-of-the-art GeoSpatial laboratory facility in building 13 on the UWF Pensacola campus. The multi-use facility is designed to accommodate class instruction, training courses as well as research endeavors.

This facility is located in on the third floor of building 13 (room 311). The laboratory is open for students to work on GIS coursework and project during non-class open hours (See the Lab Schedule). ArcGIS is also now available in the Skylab located on the 5th floor of the John C Pace library.
Students working on projects or assisting with GIS courses may be granted a code for after hours access to lab facilities with a written request from their faculty advisor or supervisory professor.
GeoData Center also maintains a classroom set (20 units) of Trimble Juno 3B professional GPS unitswith TerraSync softwareinstalled. These units may be used for courses or individual projects.
Additional equipment available through the GeoData Center and the Dept of Environmental Studies include a Sokkia total survey station, a Trimble Pro XR (backpack-style) GPS, and an ArcPad-running Thales GPS/mobile GIS with teal-time differential beacon.
GDC maintans web and database servers configured with ArcGIS Server to share and publish spatial data and resources over the web such as the UWF Campus WebGIS.
