When is Family Weekend?

Family Weekend will be held September 21-23, 2012. Make plans to arrive early on Friday so you don’t miss out on any of the fun!

How do I register for Family Weekend?

What is the registration fee and what does that include?

Pricing for 2012 Family Weekend is as follows: $40 per adult, $15 for children 7-12yrs. of age, and free for children 6 years and younger.  A package includes admission into all events throughout Family Weekend with the exception of the Men of Color Retreat, for which tickets can be purchased separately.  Check the Family Weekend site to see a list of all events offered throughout the weekend!

What events can my student attend?

University of West Florida students can attend all activities for free with their family members who have purchased a package.

When should we plan to arrive?  Do families stay for the whole weekend?

Families are encouraged to arrive Friday morning so that they can take advantage of sight seeing opportunities, tour the school, and just relax with their son or daughter. Events are scheduled Friday, Saturday and Sunday so make plans to stay the entire weekend if you can!

Are refunds available?

All Family Weekend packages are non-refundable. 

I missed the Family Weekend registration deadline. What can I do?

Registration for Family Weekend closes September 14, 2012.  All registrations sent to the Cashier’s Office must be postmarked by September 14th in order to be processed.  If you miss this deadline, we still encourage you to visit your student at the University of West Florida. Although events such as the kick-off celebration, State of the University update and outdoor movie are restricted for Family Weekend participants, there are a variety of campus exhibits and events at UWF, and in the surrounding Pensacola community, that are open to the public.
