Patrick Scott Belk received his Ph.D. in 2012 from the University of Tulsa, where he served as book review editor of the James Joyce Quarterly, research assistant at the Modernist Journals Project, and was named a 2011-12 Bellwether Fellow. He is the director of the Pulp Magazines Project, a research assistant and digital editor for Conrad First: The Joseph Conrad Periodical Archive, and webmaster of the Joseph Conrad Society (UK). He has published in Science Fiction Studies, Victorian Periodicals Review, and his essay “Buchan and the American Pulp Magazines” will appear in John Buchan and the Idea of Modernity (Pickering & Chatto, March 2013).
