Suzanne Hendricks
MBA
My name is Suzanne Hendricks and I am a 27 year
old graduate student at the University of West Florida Emerald Coast.
I began my college education at the University of Central Florida
as a Business major. At the age of 22, I moved from Orlando to Sandestin
to be closer to my family. By the time I migrated to the Emerald Coast
area, I had completed approximately three years of college. Nevertheless,
I truly wanted to complete my Bachelor's degree in Business without
moving back to Central Florida. This was the first step in pursuing
my dream of becoming a college professor. And UWF Emerald Coast made
it happen. I was able to take all my undergraduate courses at the
UWF EC Fort Walton campus. I am now a proud alumna of UWF EC, having
earned a degree in Business Management.
In 2006, I took yet another step toward pursuing
my dream. I enrolled in the University of West Florida's Finish in
Five MBA Program. Again, I have been fortunate enough to take all
my graduate classes at the Eglin and Fort Walton Beach campuses. The
location is incredibly convenient for me, as I am a finance manager
living and working in Destin.
The MBA program has been both a challenging and
exciting experience. As a graduate student, I was granted a special
scholarship that enabled me to participate in UWF's MBA study abroad
program in Germany. The unforgettable memories and unique cultural
experiences from my trip overseas have enriched my life immensely.
I am now working as a Graduate Assistant at the University of West
Florida Emerald Coast and remain only one semesters shy of an AACSB
accredited MBA degree. At the age of 27, I am closer than I ever imagined
to pursuing my Doctoral Degree in Finance. I wanted to be a college
professor and UWF EC is making it happen.
