In honor of Native American Heritage Month, the University of West Florida's Emerald Coast SGA will present, "A Native American Experience" with guest speaker Kirby Locklear. Kirby Locklear is a retired USAF Lt. Colonel, a UWF Alumnus, and a member of the Lumbee Tribe. He currently works as an operational test engineer and volunteers his time coordinating Native American cultural events for Eglin AFB.
So at this time, I'd like to invite all students to attend this event. It will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 from 12-1pm at the UWF Emerald Coast/Ft. Walton Beach Campus. Come and gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for our diverse world through learning about Native American history, traditions, and culture. Refreshments will be served.
