Special Accreditations
All programs are accredited by National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
and the State of Florida Department of Education (FLDOE).
Unique Specializations
The Comprehensive Program is a 36-hour master's program that will provide a clear and obtainable
pathway for non-education major students to enter the teaching profession in a reasonable period
of time, while allowing graduates of education programs to continue their professional development
and obtain an advanced degree. The strength of the program is the common research, teaching and
learning core that will be applied to all programs.
Comprehensive Programs
The comprehensive master's degree program in each specialty is a non-initial teacher certification
program. Students may use the course work completed to apply for initial teacher certification and
complete the certification exams. These programs are designed to develop master teachers who will
be prepared for the instructional and leadership roles in the specialty.
