End-Product Description
The vehicle is a 500lb steel framed unmanned ground vehicle that is wirelessly controlled via 2.4GHz RC communication. It is powered by 24-36V DC and can consume up to 270A under normal operation. The steering servo is powered by a custom designed 12V 60W DC-DC buck regulator. The RC signals are processed onboard by custom analog circuitry and used to control throttle, braking, and direction of travel. The unmanned vehicle is capable of carrying or towing large loads over harsh terrain to prevent humans from exposure to dangerous or unknown environments.
