End-Product Description
The SMARTS system is designed as an attachable device that can be used on any cold storage system with minimal installation time. The unit comes with three ports to easily plug in wired temperature probes that can be run through to a cooling unit for easy monitoring. With the main board running and connected to the internet, our second application, a mobile version of the one running on the main board, allows the user to monitor the readings from their cooling units from anywhere. Our product also allows the user to input an expected temperature for each individual cooler. In the event that the temperature falls out of a selected range from the expected value, a notification will be sent out via e-mail. As the unit runs, the temperature values are saved and stored periodically to a spreadsheet file on the units SD card as well as backed up to Dropbox.com.
