End-Product Description
The electrical-powered rail gun on a turret base is an effective weapon for defensively neutralizing targets. The non-explosive bullets make transporting and storing ammunition much safer while the ability to power this unit by plugging it into any standard U.S. AC outlet allows for easy hazard-free set-ups. Additionally, this system could be easily augmented with internal batteries that can be used as a power back-up in the case of power-loss or other emergency situations. The operations of the targeting systems are extremely diverse and, depending open the location of the operator, can be controlled remotely. Furthermore, the user has the choice of manually targeting the rail gun by hand or allowing the image processing tools to select or avoid targets as specified. Maintenance and repairs for this system are simple while the rail gun unit can be easily replaced with a replacement unit as the rails themselves wear-down after multiple uses. All of these features make the rail gun with control unit and targeting system an effective and safe defensive weapon for any high security location.
