Check out how this year's BEST Robotics competition practice session turned out!
The University of West Florida hosts the Emerald Coast BEST Robotics hub, the only BEST hub in the State of Florida. Emerald Coast BEST will hold its fifth annual competition in the Field House at the UWF Pensacola campus on October 29, 2011.
The mission of BEST Inc. is to inspire middle and high school students to pursue careers in engineering, science, and technology through participation in a sports-like, science and engineering-based robotics competition each fall.
The goal of Emerald Coast BEST is to accommodate as many robotic teams as the competition venue and hub finances can support.
The funding of hub operations depends entirely on corporate and individual sponsorships. Materials kits to build the robots are provided to the teams by the hub. No fees are paid by students or schools participating in BEST robotics.
