Rachel Ann Haarala
Graduate Assistant, Health Promotions
Psychology has always been of great interest to me and it was in high school that I really realized that this was the field that I wanted to go into! I really enjoy studying human behavior and how we react to different life situations that we encounter. As an undergrad here at UWF, I received my degree in Psychology and currently am working towards my Master's in Counseling Psychology. After obtaining my Master's degree, my goal is to continue on and get my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and have my own private practice. To mix things up a bit, I also want to host a psychology-based radio talk show and educate people on all issues related to mental health! My passion really lies in how positivity/positive attitude increases overall life satisfaction, quality of life, and truly aids in a person achieving his or her goals. I serve as the Graduate Assistant for Counseling and Wellness Services and will be working towards educating the UWF community on sexual assault prevention, sexual health, and alcohol awareness!
