What are Student Assessment of Instruction (SAI) ratings?
- SAI ratings provide an avenue for you to collect information on students' perceptions of your teaching and course effectiveness.
What should I do with student feedback?
- SAI evaluations are used to identify your teaching strengths and weaknesses. Analyzing the information can provide valuable insight into your teaching and your courses.
- SAI evaluation summaries should be included in your teaching portfolios to be used for tenure, promotion, evaluations, and merit increases.
When will reports be available for my review?
- A copy of the 18-item summaries will be inserted into the evaluation packages after scanning is complete. They will be available for review with the chair of your department.
- Summaries of the 18-item review will be posted on the Grade Roll Review web site approximately seven weeks after the end of classes.
- 8-item summaries will be available in the libraries, the Provost's Office, the SGA Office, and with the UWF-UFF representative approximately nine weeks after the last day of classes.

Is it mandatory to complete an SAI evaluation?
- No, it is not mandatory for a student to complete an SAI evaluation form. But, in order to have your voice heard concerning your classes and instructors, it is important to complete an evaluation form.
Will the instructor know who completed an SAI evaluation form?
- No. This is an anonymous survey and response data are not connected to student data.
- The instructor does not see the completed forms or summaries until after grades are posted at the end of the semester.
