June 28, 2008: UWF African-American Alumni Reunion
Greetings
Alumni,
For those who attended this year’s
African American Alumni Reunion, thank you! Because of you we had a bigger turn
out than our inaugural year. We had over thirty graduates in attendance that
spanned from the 1970’s to 2008. Attached are a few pictures from the Cookout
and the Reception. This event was timeless in that UWF Graduates have gone on
to become college Department Heads, Entrepreneurs, Professional Writers,
Politicians, Bank Executives, Military Officers, School Teachers, University
and Hospital Administrators, as well as current graduate students. There were
at least five former Black Student Union Presidents in attendance as well. If
you missed this event, you missed quality networking, fellowship and good food.
Attached is a collage, produced by the College Reach-Out Program that depicts
some of the good times from this year’s event. Please mark your calendar for
next year’s reunion. We anticipate an even larger turnout. If you have any
questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
