Mental Health Counseling Intern
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UWF and am currently in the process of finishing a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at the UWF School of Psychological and Behavioral Sciences. I am honored and grateful to have the opportunity to complete my internship as a member of the Counseling and Psychological Services' clinical team. My professional interests include masculinity, gender roles, loss, grief, depression, issues of identity, multiculturalism, and I am especially excited about group therapy.
College can be an exciting time in life that can present great opportunities for self-discovery. However, sometimes growth opportunities come with growing pains. Nonetheless, it is my hope that counseling can help students to alleviate any discomfort that occurs. I view therapy as a shared journey in which clients ultimately choose the destination. As a therapist, I identify with an existential-humanistic school of thought and feel most passionate about my work when I am able to assist clients in finding that which brings meaning to their lives.
