Email: rearp@uwf.edu I joined the faculty of the Computer Science department in 1969 and also served UWF as Dean of the College of Science and Technology. In addition to my career at UWF, I was an instructor/facilitator for Learning Tree International and I worked for Computer Sciences Corporation at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola after retirement from the State of Florida. Research InterestsMy current research interests are mostly in the area of database applications. I use Oracle and SQL Server most often in areas such as prime numbers, financial models, statistical studies, etc. Most recently I participated in the Netflix challenge which was a global data mining exercise. My primary expertise is database design and advanced querying using newer features of SQL and/or PL/SQL. I also taught software engineering and programming for many years before I retired.
