Engineering Week Banquet 2010
General information
Welcome to the Pensacola area Engineers Week Banquet information page. This year we will be celebrating the grand opening of the new School of Science and Engineering (SSE) building at the University of West Florida (UWF). UWF SSE grand opening festivities are planned over a three day period, 3 - 5 February, 2010. The E-Week banquet will be held at the UWF Conference Center on Thursday, 4 February, 2010.
The National Engineers Week Foundation, a formal coalition of more than 100 professional societies, major corporations and government agencies, is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers among young students and by promoting pre-college literacy in math and science. Engineers Week is the public culmination of a year-round portfolio of programs, raising public understanding and appreciation of engineers' contributions to society. Some of the national sponsors include ExxonMobile, 3M, Bechtel Group Foundation, NorthropGrumman, and many more. This year Engineers Week is nationally co-chaired by ExxonMobile and The Society of Chemical Engineers. Once again we are raising funds for scholarships as we have in the past. Through past E-Week banquets, we have raised over $14,000 for scholarships supporting local students. We also allow companies to sponsor student meals so that we may invite more students to the banquet to pique their interest in the engineering and science fields. Please also note that this year we will be accepting payments on-line through PayPal for your convenience.

A number of sponsorship levels are available for your consideration. We do request that sponsorships be purchased by January 15, 2010 as we cannot guarantee logo placement on the banquet program materials after that date.

Schedule of Events
Date: Thursday, February 4, 2010
Social hour for Platinum and Gold sponsors begins at 5:30 pm; cash bar for all attendees begins at 6:00 pm; dinner seating will begin at 6:30; dinner will begin serving at 6:45 pm, and the program will begin at 7:15 pm, concluding at 9:00 pm.
This years event will be casual; wear your favorite College/University shirt or school colors.
Discount tickets are available for full-time K-12 and college/university students for $10 and regular tickets are available for $40.
