Volunteer UWF! Community Partners Are an exclusive group of local agencies
that collaborate with the university on providing meaningful service experiences
and fulfilling community needs.
Community Partners

Are important friends of UWF
- Must be either a non-profit organization, a government agency, a faith-based
organization, or a K-20 educational institution
- Apply or re-apply once a year
- Are selected by a group of UWF students, faculty, and staff members
and approved by Volunteer UWF!
- Attend Volunteer Fairs, workshops and Volunteer UWF! events annually
- Communicate with Volunteer UWF! Regularly
- Complete all necessary paperwork and evaluations
- Use and maintain current information in JasonQuest
Community Partners give UWF students valuable learning experiences
including
- An orientation to their organization and the specific service experience
- Any training required to complete the service experience
- Supervision on-site
- The necessary tools to do the job
- A safe experience and an environment free of discrimination
- An opportunity to meet a mentor
- Access to valuable service experiences --UWF students are not simply
fundraisers
- Prompt response to UWF inquiries
Volunteer UWF! will give community partners
- Access to great students who are ready to learn from you and help
your organization
- A site visit
- Invites to on-campus events promoting your service opportunities
- Unlimited access to JasonQuest and JasonQuest support
- New professional development workshops to help support your organization's
staff
- Access to faculty who are planning to implement service-learning
into their courses
- New ways to promote service opportunities through UWF campus
and local media sources
- Access to UWF Community Work Study students

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis but are reviewed in groups
every few months.
