Faculty Qualifications
The College of Business has 50 full-time teaching faculty, 94% of whom hold the terminal degree in their respective fields or a related field. The College augments its full-time, "participating" faculty with highly qualified part-time, "supporting" faculty who are practicing professionals in Northwest Florida.
Faculty members are expected to maintain the currency of their "academic" and "professional" qualifications through scholarly and creative activity (such as writing for publication) and participation in relevant faculty development activities (such as conference attendance or business consultation). The College carefully monitors the deployment of its faculty each semester. Regardless of campus location, the preponderance of courses offered by the College of Business are taught by full-time, academically or professionally qualified faculty.
Faculty Development Opportunities
Each faculty member files annually a faculty development plan related to the faculty member's teaching, scholarly activity, and service assignments.

Faculty Recognition Awards
Recognitions and awards for faculty members for special achievements in teaching, scholarly activity, and service are presented annually at both the University and College levels.
