     Interactive Labs with Audio

 


 

Provided with the Discovering Computers 2003 textbook are 18 Interactive Labs. These Interactive Labs are available on the Web or on CD-ROM. You can get the audio CD-ROM from your instructor or you may go to the Web to complete the labs. To complete these labs online requires that Shockwave and Flash Player be installed on your computer. Each lab takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

 

Shelly Cashman Series Interactive Lab

     

1.  To start a Shelly Cashman Series Interactive Lab, complete the step that applies to you.

 

a.       Running from the World Wide Web: Enter the URL, www.scsite.com/sclabs/menu.htm and click the LAB button for the lab you want to complete.

 

b.      Running from a CD-ROM: Insert the Shelly Cashman Series Labs with Audio CD in your CD-ROM drive.

 

c.       Running the No-Audio Version from a Hard Disk or Network: Click the Start button on the taskbar, point to Shelly Cashman Series Labs on the Programs submenu, and click Interactive Labs.

 

2.      When the Shelly Cashman Series IN THE LAB screen displays, if necessary maximize the window, and then follow the instructions on the screen to start the using the lab you want to complete.

 

3.      When the Lab screen displays, if necessary maximize the window, and then read the objectives.

 

4.      If assigned, follow the instructions on the screen to print the questions associated with the lab.

 

5.      Follow the instructions on the screen to continue in the lab.

 

6.      When completed, follow the instructions on the screen to terminate the lab.

 

7.      If assigned, hand in your answers for the printed questions to your instructor.
