| Assignments | Homework will be assigned on a regular basis as
topics are covered. Assignments are due on or before the day of
the following test (e. g., word-processing assignments are due on
the day of the word processing test, etc.). Late assignments will
receive half credit. Students have to finish at least 50% of
the assignments to be awarded a grade.
Each assignment will be graded on the basis of correctness. All homework assignments have to be stapled in order with cover sheet and be clearly labeled with student’s name, and class meeting time. |
| Tests | There will be four tests, one at the end of each module. Tests 2 - 4 will be open computer but closed book. As a general rule, make-up tests are NOT given. Students are expected to take the tests when scheduled. Make-up test will only be given in case of personal emergency. Professor has to be notified as soon as possible, so arrangements can be made to make up any test missed. |
| Cheating | Sharing assignments is considered cheating. Cheating is not tolerated and any academic misconduct will be referred to the Director of Student Life and a grade of "F3" will be assigned. Information on Student Code of Conduct, Plagiarism and Academic Cheating can be found on page 19 of the current catalog. |
| Grading | Final
evaluation of a student's performance in the course will be based on the
average of four tests and 10 assignments. The assignments will total a maximum of 100 points. |

attendance policy (PSC Catalog, Page 45). Students may
be withdrawn from the class by professor for excessive absences
(with more than 3 absences). Attendance will be taken in
each class. It is the student’s responsibility to sign the roster. It is also the student's responsibility to withdraw from the course. The last date to withdraw for this term is November 8 for Term A or November 16 for Term C. If the student does not withdraw by that date a letter grade or an F1/F2 will be assigned. |

| Communication | PSC provides an institutional email account to all credit students. Pirate Mail is the official method of communication, and students must use Pirate Mail when communicating with the College. | Electronic Devices | Electronic devices, such as cell phones, cell phone cameras, IPods, pagers, etc. shall be turned to the “off” position while attending a class or clinic program. The use of any electronic device during class, or leaving class to utilize any electronic device is disruptive to the educational environment, will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the class and no opportunity to make up what is missed. The use of laptop computers during class shall only be for the purpose of the current work in class. |
