Benefits
to the Student:
This effort is an extension of the current track in
Biological Chemistry in the MS degree in Biology and provides a platform
for identifying and recruiting students into that track, as well as
creating interdisciplinary training opportunities for students seeking
employment after completing an undergraduate degree.
Such students will be extended a degree of flexibility in choosing
elective courses so that they can enroll in a mix of courses from Biology
and Chemistry.
The working group will provide research opportunities
for students on topics that will use both chemistry and biology as their
foundation. These projects will be supervised by a faculty member
from each department.
