Chemistry courses for majors at UWF are typically small, which allows our instructors to pay personal attention to each individual student. Nevertherless, our laboratories are inordinately well-equipped with top-of-the-line computer controlled instrumentation. We pride ourselves on giving students hands-on training with this state-of-the-art instrumentation so our graduates are extremely well-prepared for the job market, professional school or graduate school.

In general, chemists at all levels enjoy a wide array of employment opportunities, not to mention a very high national employment rate.
