Through Nov. 26 - “America is Very Wide” by Chad Eby
Artist Chad Eby combines a mix of artifacts from contemporary culture such as high technology processes, found objects, and leftovers, to redefine the relationship with technology beyond being a tool. His work combines chance, chaos, and the willful misuse of equipment, a wink to former Fluxist icons such as Nam Jun Paik, Jon Ippolito, Yoko Ono, and John Cage.The exhibit is located in the UWF Art Gallery.
Nov. 13-Nov. 22 - Goblin Market
The UWF Department of Theatre will present Goblin Market, adapted by Peggy Harmon and Polly Pen and based on the poem by Christina Rossetti, Nov. 13, 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 16 and 23 at 2:30 p.m. in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts Studio Theatre, Building 82. Tickets cost $16 per person for the general public, $12 per person for senior citizens and active military, $10 per person for UWF faculty and staff and non-UWF students and free for UWF students with a valid Nautilus Card.
Nov. 17 UWF Music Hall Artist Series - Panayis Lyris, piano
A native of Greece, Lyras attended the Athens Conservatory at age six and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Julliard School. He has been seen and heard by millions of television viewers on PBS and the Arts and Entertainment Network. 7:30 p.m. in the Music Hall, Building 82. Tickets cost $16 per person for the general public, $12 per person for senior citizens and active military, $10 per person for UWF faculty and staff and non-UWF students and free for UWF students with a valid Nautilus Card.
