The College of Arts and Sciences serves as the host agency for an international conference, the Improving University Teaching (IUT) conference, dedicated to the promotion of learning-centered pedagogy in higher education. The July 2006 conference was held in Dunedin, New Zealand and the July 2007 conference was held at the University of Jaen in southern Spain.
