Training:
Certificate in Budgeting: In order to receive a Certificate in Budgeting, you must complete the following three classes: Where does the money go?, Budget Basics, and Budget Transfer Overview and Reports.
Where does the money go? This workshop is designed to present an overview ofUWF's budget, what reveue sources make up the university's income, and how the funds from the revenue sources are allocatd and expended. Various websites will be provided as helpful budget tools which can be used daily. For the class handout, Where does the money go?
Budget Basics: Learn the basics about UWF budgets. How the budget is established, transferred, and managed. We will be exploring the annual Operating Budget Book and Schedule C. For the powerpoint used in this class, Budget Basics PowerPoint and Glosarry of Terms.
Budget Transfer Overview & Reports: In this class we will be reviewing Budget Transfer rules and limitations. And we will also be explorimg Information Navigator reports used as tools to help manage your department budgts. For the powerpoint used in this class, Budget Transfers & Reports.
On-Line BT Training: This training is provided twice per year for those employees that have been identified by their budget managers as having a need to be either a budget transfer initiator, approver, or both in our Banner Production System. To enroll in this class your supervisor must email budgets@uwf.edu requesting you be trained as either an initiator, an approver, or both. The prospective trainee must have completed Banner Basics, Budget Basics, and Budget Transfer Overview and Reports before they can attend this class.
