Get Involved!
Break the Silence is a registered student organization welcomes all levels of volunteering: from making posters, to setting up information booths, and traveling to conferences on rape and sexual assault awareness and prevention. Volunteer hours are available through the career center. In order to record your hours log onto JasonQuest and register with Break the Silence. Every hour you spend sitting at a booth or simply making flyers and posters for Break the Silence events will be recorded as volunteer hours.
As a member, you will raise awareness on rape and sexual assault issues, educate your peers and represent a worthy cause. In order to become an official member of Break the Silence every person interested will attend an annual training session. Training is vital for all members and consists of gaining knowledge on sexual assault issues. All members will use this knowledge when educating the campus community about sexual assault awareness and prevention.
MEETING TIMES: Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 5:00pm.
