Valentina Di Santo

Professor:  Dr. Wayne Bennett

I’m interested in the ecological physiology of fishes and conservation biology. My previous research experience has ranged from behavioral ecology of sharks and freshwater turtles to understanding how biodiversity loss might affect marine communities. I’m currently working at Dr. Wayne Bennett’s lab, where I’m investigating how temperature affects digestion efficiency of elasmobranch fishes. For this study I’m using two species: Atlantic stingray, Dasyatis sabina, and whitespotted bamboo shark, Chiloscyllium plagiosum.
