At the time of the project, Dr. Elizabeth D. Benchley was Associate Director of the UWF Archaeology Institute. She is now the Director of the UWF Archaeology Institute. She has directed several archaeological investigations of colonial Pensacola including work under Old Christ Church and construction monitoring along Tarragona, Romana and Spring Streets. She joined UWF in 1997 after working as an archaeological administrator at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for over 20 years. Her research interests include colonial history and archaeology of the Midwest and Southeast as well as American Indian prehistory of the region. |
