Tonya D. J. Chandler received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Art from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She earned a Master’s degree in Adult Clinical Psychology in 2007, with a specialization in Behavioral Medicine from the University of Alabama. Tonya changed her career focus to Archaeology to follow a lifelong passion, specifically for colonial settlements in the southeastern United States, Native American archaeology, and historic preservation. Her thesis work is on a pre-Removal U.S. military site in Chickasaw territory in northern Alabama. Degree and Focus: Historical Archaeology, Terrestrial.
