Sarah Bennett graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida with majors in History and English and minors in Anthropology and Spanish. She was fortunate to intern with Carl Halbirt, St. Augustineâ€™s City Archaeologist, during her senior year at Flagler. Before entering UWFâ€™s graduate program, she worked for a year at the Florida Public Archaeology Networkâ€™s Northeast Regional Center. Her primary interest is public archaeology, though she also enjoys studying Spanish Florida, paleography, historic cemeteries, and documents. Her thesis relates to studying creolization at Nuestra SeÃ±ora del Rosario de la Punta, a late mission period community near St. Augustine.
