Amanda Lawson is from Fountain, Florida and graduated from UWF with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology. As an undergraduate she wrote an Honors Thesis on rural public health. As a graduate student, Amanda is interested in general public health topics, gender and sexuality, applied anthropology, and the effects of modern technology on identity. Amanda hopes to write a thesis investigating the influence of the Internet on sexual identity and expression for rural homosexuals and/or discovering the material/social/cultural conditions which provide a sense of well-being for homosexuals.
