Brian Mabelitini received his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Kentucky. He has worked on prehistoric and historic sites in Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, and Indiana. Brian has presented papers at professional conferences and has worked as a historic analyst and staff archaeologist for the Kentucky Archaeological Survey and the University of Kentucky - Program for Archaeological Research. His interests are the antebellum period and the American Civil War. His thesis will focus on Battery Bluff, a Confederate gun battery in northern Florida.
