The AMΩ Standard

The Standards by which Alpha Mu Omega considers men for acceptance are that no man shall be admitted that is not believed to be:

   A man of good character
   A student of strong ability
   A man with ambitious purposes
   Of congenial personality
   Possess good values
Has a high sense of honor, courage, friendship, loyalty and love for his college, fraternity, and community
and strives to better himself, his fraternity, his college, and his community.

Interests and Activities

As a fraternity AMΩ enjoys many an eventful, comedic, and fun activity. Our poker night is a nice middle-of-the-week distraction allowing brief period of relaxation in an otherwise class and homework laden week.

Saturdays are set aside for an outdoors activity. Recently most Saturdays have been spent playing paintball. It started as a late morning/early afternoon experience and has recently added the thrill and adrenaline rush of night-time paintballing.

Other activities that we enjoy and plan as fraternal experiences are beach days, pranks, homework help, pranks, recreational trips and meeting for holiday and vacation breaks, pranks, tag football and many others.

Brief History

Alpha Mu Omega is the newest fraternity at the University of West Florida. Founded in October of 2000, we have quickly grown and almost rival a couple national chapters in size.

Aaron Elledge, Mike Walker, Peter Washburn, and Josh Longo were Alpha Mu Omega's first officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, respectively).

From humble beginnings, this small local fraternity has had a goal to always remain friends. Our idea to be the "Fraternity of the Regular Guy" has caught on and we continue to increase the amount of brothers we have in our chapter.
