NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
Required for first time in college students and students with less than 30 credit hours enrolling at UWF, this series of programs signifies the formal transition from high school to college. While certainly most look forward to the ability to select their fall academic schedule, the orientation program also provides a great deal of information and activities for incoming students. A two-day program with an overnight stay, New Student Orientation will allow for students to get acquainted with tons of other students, necessary services, and discover where the resources they will need can be found.
Although required, students sign up for New Student Orientation on a first come-first served basis, with the earliest dates filling up the fastest. You must be admitted first into UWF before you can register for an orientation session.
Sign Up Early to Register Early @ UWF
It is in your best interest to sign up for an orientation session as early as possible. The registration is available to students through their LightHouse student portal access that was provided when they first applied for admission. Students who come to an earlier session can get the best chance to satisfy all their priorities with scheduling, particularly if work schedules or other activities need to be worked into your college career. The longer you wait, of course, the more difficult it will be to accommodate other interests outside of college.
