Scholarship Opportunities for Transfers

Many students begin their college careers elsewhere before making the change to UWF.  These students have often spent a great deal of time perfecting their study habits, honing their classroom skills, and advancing themselves toward their degrees in other places.  Those who have prepared themselves the best can compete for scholarship consideration against other, incoming transfers for the same terms.

UWF offers four primary scholarship opportunities for transfer students.  The scholarships are typically available to those students who attend directly from a Florida state college or community college.  These programs are administered by the Office of Undergraduate Admission.  For maximum consideration, prospective transfers should submit their applications as early as possible. (Remember, however, that admission decisions cannot be made with more than one semester's work outstanding.  So, as long as we have all the final grades, plus one semester "in progress," we can offer admission to you early as well.)
