Transferring to UWF
We’re thrilled to receive your application to transfer to UWF as soon as you are ready. While the application deadline for fall admission is July 1, we begin receiving new transfer applications throughout the school year. Most applicants try to be admitted early to capitalize on scholarship and financial aid opportunities for the upcoming semester. We strongly encourage you to apply as early as possible for these same reasons.
Students interested in transferring to UWF from another institution must possess a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for consideration. Students must also demonstrate a 2.0 GPA at the most recent institution prior to enrolling at UWF.
There are a million reasons why students transfer. Their first university isn't what they imagined. They change their majors. They miss their family, their friends, or even a significant other. We use the expression "life happens" when it comes to the question about why students transfer. But, the most important thing is simply: there's plenty of room, come on over to UWF.
Additional Transfer Requirements @ UWF
Students with more than 12 credits earned AFTER high school are considered transfer students. Until they reach 60 college credits AFTER high school, candidates for admission must also meet first time in college admission criteria.
In the same manner, there is often a need for official SAT and/or ACT results to be presented with the application if the credit totals are fewer than 60 credits as well.
