Returning UWF Students

Welcome back! For those students who had previously enrolled at UWF, we try to make the application process as easy as possible. Students step out of college for any number of reasons, but what is most important is simply that you are back and planning to take courses once more. We are ready to welcome you back to the classroom. In fact, we’ve been keeping a seat warm for you.

Graduate students considering returning to UWF should contact the Graduate School directly about returning.

Returning after an absence @ UWF

Students who were in good academic standing at the time they last enrolled at UWF will find an easy pathway through the application process. It is our intention to make the transition back to UWF as easy as possible for you. Depending on your particular circumstances, one of the following options best describes the pathway you’ll need to follow to return to UWF in the next semester.

  • If you have not enrolled at another college or university since you left UWF, and you left in good academic standing, your readmission application is simply all that is necessary to return. Your eligibility to return stretches for three semesters after you discontinue, so you might first simply try to register for classes if your time away from UWF was brief.
  • If you were not in good standing when you left, but still have not enrolled elsewhere, you may find additional steps are required to gain readmission given your past performance on campus. After you submit the readmission application, you will be notified of any additional expectations.
  • If you have enrolled at another institution, you will need to apply to return and submit any/all transcripts from any institutions enrolled at since you were last at UWF. Please remember that every new admission decision must take into account your recent academic performance, and sometimes poor work elsewhere can affect your ability to return to UWF in the future.
