International Application Process
UWF welcomes applicants from all over the globe to study on campus.
With our fabulous academic programs, our white sandy beaches and our impressive facilities, students will benefit from an education that focuses its energy in providing the best learning environment available.
International students are encouraged to complete our application for admission.
Take the time to complete the online application as soon as you can. You will need to submit the $30 application fee either at the time of your submission, or you can go back and pay the application fee at a later time (your application will require an application fee to be paid in order to be processed for admission),
Additionally, UWF uses 3rd party credential evaluators to validate the academic preparation and degree verification for all international applicants. A "course by course" evaluation is required for each candidate for admission and for each level of education accomplished. Because UWF is required to monitor foreign language and math credits at the secondary level, students often have to have their transcripts scrutinized to ensure they have satisfied these requirements. Two companies are noted below as "recommendations," but you are welcome to use another accredited agency. To see if the agency you wish to use is properly accredited, you can contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to discuss the company with our international student recruiter.
International Application @ UWF
- Apply for admission using the above link for the application.
- Pay the $30 application fee.
- Submit official copies of any/all academic work (secondary school and any post-secondary college or university) to a credential evaluation company for a course by course credit evaluation with grade point average calculation. We recommend either Josef A Silny or Education Credential Evaluators as both affordable and efficient partners. Students should request that both the evaluation and the official transcripts be submitted to us directly for processing when available.
- Submit an official TOEFL or IELTS test result, which determines your English proficiency, directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at UWF. Some students may require the Intensive English Program before they will be admitted. In those cases, a conditional admission is possible.
- Submit proof of financial certification to demonstrate your ability to pay for the cost of a year’s worth of instruction at UWF.
