Additional Requirements to Receive an I-20

UWF offers admission to students whose academic records satisfy our requirements.  However, before an I-20 can be issued to a student there are more requirements that must be met.  These requirements are outlined below.  We recommend students strongly consider submitting all these documents to UWF early on in the process, even possibly at the time the initial admission decision is being made, to ensure the fastest processing of an I-20 possible:

If you have questions regarding the Form I-20, please contact:
UWF International Student Office
11000 University Parkway, Bldg. 71
Pensacola FL 32514

intered@uwf.edu
Phone: (850) 474-2479
Fax: (850) 473-7079

Proof of financial certification to demonstrate your ability to pay the cost of a year’s worth of instruction at UWF. Include a bank statement or letter on bank stationery.  The amount a student needs to demonstrate is on the form.

Immunization Form
Medical History Form
Meningitis Hepatitis Form

Once you have been admitted to UWF and have completed and returned all health and immunization forms, along with evidence of financial support, the International Student Office can issue an I-20 for you.

Transfer Students

If you are transferring from a college or university in the United States, in addition to being admitted to UWF, you also will have to be transferred into UWF's SEVIS system from the school that previously issued your I-20. This process requires that the international student advisor at your previous school complete and sign the Transfer Form. Your current international student advisor will also have to transfer your record out of your previous school's SEVIS system and into UWF's SEVIS system. Once this has been achieved, we will be able to issue an I-20 based on your transfer status.
